Dr. Brent Huckabay is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our cohesive and supportive team. The work days will be Monday through Thursday 8-5, off Fridays and weekends. The pay with bonus will be dependent on experience and the quality of patient care. This is our first hygienist opening in 5 years and the start date can be either December 9 or January 6. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist in the management of patient records, including documentation of treatments and procedures using Softdent software.
• Collaborate with the dentist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Conduct screenings for oral diseases and conditions, including periodontal disease and cavities.
• Maintain a sterile and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and continuing education requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in Texas
• Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred
• Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
• Proficiency in using Softdent software is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44.00 - $46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
