Overview
East Bay Periodontics and Implant Dentistry is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with extensive oral surgery experience to become our Lead Surgical Assistant in Oakland, CA. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and organized RDA who thrives in a surgical setting and aims to take on a leadership role in a high-quality, patient-centered practice. Compensation: $30–$40/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting for periodontal and oral surgery procedures, including implants and grafting
- Sterilization, operatory setup, and patient preparation
- Back-office organization and maintenance
- Ordering and managing surgical and clinical supplies
- Supporting the doctor and clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Current RDA license and CPR certification (required)
- Strong oral surgery experience (required)
- Experience in periodontics, implants, or specialty dental practices (preferred)
- Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend software
- Excellent knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
