Responsibilities

  • Insurance verifications
  • Treatment plan presentations
  • Communicate treatment options in detail to the patient and/or the responsible party
  • Confidently present financing options that meet the patients’ needs
  • Contact new patient inquiries and referrals
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients and referring facilities
  • Schedule optimization
  • Consultation/recall follow-up
  • Assists with billing and collections, past due AR
  • Financial tracking for ortho accounts

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of prior treatment coordinating experience in a dental setting is required
  • Previous experience and familiarity with dental coding, insurance processing 
  • Prior dental assisting background preferred but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • Eaglesoft knowledge is a plus
  • Go-getter with a knack for sales, who derives joy from transforming smiles and lives with a positive, energetic personality

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Strong understanding of dental insurance plans and documentation

  • Organizational skills- must be able to manage time properly and keep the workspace orderly

  • Must be a team player, flexible, and able to adapt to changes in the schedule, handling cancellations and rescheduling adeptly

  • Must be able to multitask – maintain a positive demeanor, stay calm under pressure, and contribute positively

  • Computer proficiency includes computer, internet, and scheduling software

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Must be able to explain insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and provide costs to patients

  • Detail Oriented
